The second Still Deeper day conference will explore aspects of the Cross which the world and Christians struggle to face - the darkness of God's wrath, suffering and violence.
Questions will be considered such as: What does the Bible teach about God's wrath and the cross? What is the pastoral value of believing in a wrathful God? Why does our violent culture finds the violence of God so offensive? The day will also include an exposition of Lamentations- a book about wrath. The Conference will be on 27 Sept 2008, 10am-4pm St. Andrew's Church, Bishopsgate, London

The first Still Deeper conference was on ‘Friendship’, meeting in the Round Church, Cambridge. Seventy-five people booked places for a day of lectures and interviews about friendship. John Percival, associate pastor of St. Peter’s Barge, London, reflected that the day, “Helped us think more deeply and theologically about friendship. It provided something not readily available elsewhere in church circles.”
